Advanced mobile loyalty with a Tex-Mex twist

The Chiquito app is the next of the series of innovative branded restaurant apps that we've built with The Restaurant Group to drive footfall, engagement and loyalty. We undertook a complete overhaul of the UX and design of the application, creating versions for iPhone and Android as well as a universal build allowing for installations on tablet devices.

The restaurant app includes a loyalty driving mobile game with money off as “prizes” as well as a cocktail maker. The whole service works in sync with the existing CRM back-end as well as integrating with Eagle Eye's mobile voucher platform.

Our Approach 

After the successful launch of the Frankie & Benny’s app for The Restaurant Group we moved straight onto the warmer shores of Mexico and started work on the app for Chiquito. Chiquito is famous for the best fajitas and margaritas around in a vibrant restaurant with passionate service – and we wanted the app the reflect that by targeting their loyal customers with functions they can truly use and gain value from.

The app has all of the usual features you’d expect from a restaurant app – find a table, view a menu and so on which we coupled with additional functionality targeted at their student and younger guests. Within the app you can find a photobooth, links to social as well as the ability to register a student card to receive a hefty discount on your dinner (or lunch).

Cocktails are a big part of the culture within Chiquito, and we’ve brought them to life within the app with a digital cocktail maker. This feature allows guests to create their own concoctions which the bartenders will lovingly create. The more astute of you will be able to see how with a simple integration this could be a journey from app to bar and table within minutes – watch this space.

This is all underpinned with a loyalty strategy and platform with full integration into CRM partner Alchemetrics where each guest receives scannable vouchers to use in-restaurant.  ¿Muy bueno, no?
